Written in ancient biblical script, the Hebrew text is taken from the "Shema Yisrael" prayer that appears in the Torah. In these psalms, we are commanded to inscribe the words of the Shema Yisrael prayer and affix them to the door-posts. The text is engraved into the metal and becomes like a graphic pattern which wraps the mezuzah and reveals the hidden blessings inside.
Decorated with the letter "Shin" which represent "Shadai" one of God's names.
Shema Yisrael prayer: The most important of all Jewish sayings, the Shema is the first prayer a Jewish child is taught to say. A declaration of faith and a pledge of our allegiance, the Shema is said upon arising in the morning, before going to sleep at night, when praising God, when beseeching Him, and it is the last word upon the Jew's lips when leaving this life.
